Here we are today in Proctor with our newest purchase...the "Deuter" back pack! I am loving it already! Chase is quite a big boy, and growing rapidly... it's nice on my back to have this pack! Kita was happy we bought it too, it means she goes for walks more often...or for longer.

One of my new favorites
We're all sorta battling a nasty cold. Ian got it first, and Chase and I have been fighting it off for the last week. I have now fallen prey to it, with an ear infection in what now seems to be both ears, as well as a wicked sore throat that I am sur is now strep-throat!! Chase is starting to sneeze..and of course sleep!! Here is the little guy all snuggled up with dad.

Rolled over for the first & second time!
This morning (Feb.16th) I had been talking to my cousin Kristy on the phone. I had been telling her that I was wondering why Chase hadn't yet showed any real intrest in "rolling over." He gets really angry when he's on his stomach for too long, but never has made a strong effort to roll over. Anyhow, no sooner had I gotten off the phone, and Chase TOTALLY surprised me and rolled over twice!!! (He is exactly 4 months & 2 days old!!) Yay for Chase! ~Dad missed though...in fact EVERYONE did, because I didn't have time to get the camera to film it! Maybe next time...

HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY
Not only is it Valentine's Day, but it is also the day that marks Chase's 4 month birthday! That's right, our big boy is already 4 months! I can hardly believe it. That also means that Chase had has his shots today! Poor 'lil guy. He took it like a champ though, and once again...I think I am worse at him getting the needles than he is.
Chase weighed in @ 16lbs, 5.5oz, and was 25.5" long! He is currently in the 90 percentile for his weight, and now only in the 75 percentile for his height!
Anyhow, hope this finds you all well. Happy Valentine's Day!!

Buddies
So Kita is adapting pretty well to her new little buddy. When we crossed the border this past weekend for Marilyn & Ray's wedding in Spokane, the border guard opened Chase's door to inspect inside the vehicle, Kita layed her head across Chase's feet! I was a little nervous she might try and bite him. Thankfully she didn't, but she definaltey is protective!
