Black & White tricks with the new camera!!

Guess who got her new camera today!!!

It is so hard to put up just a few cute pictures, because I think they all are!! (Excpet they are not all "perfect," because I am still learning the new camera.) Anyhow, here is Chase, pretty happy in these pics...Just wait, I will get him in the middle of a tantrum, they aren't so cute. His new favorite thing to do when he is mad, is to squeal ear-piercing loud noises...Like a loud short, high-pitched burst!! Ouch!

Walk out at the canal

Yesterday we took Kita & Oso (Sadie's dog) out to the canal for a walk. It was another beautiful day once again...However today it is +10 outside, so that is even better than yesterday!
We are syill awaiting the arrivial of our new camera. So Sadie took this picture of Chase with her camera phone...and I think it is pretty darn cute! We also saw a bald eagle perched way up in a tree yesterday...pretty cool wildlife!!

My last two pictures of Chase...

Seconds before my camera died.

These were the last two pictures that I took of the little munchkin!

I don't think the new camera gets here until next week, so this will have to do!
I guess I could tell you about Chase's traumatizing Valentine's Day...Poor lil' guy!! I took him to a play group, where mom's with their baby-babies are upstairs in discussion groups, or things like that, and the older babes go downstairs with a husband & wife team, and a third child caregiver. Well, I hung out downstairs for a little while with Chase, to sort of get him comfortable with the situation...And once he started to go and explore I thought he was feeling pretty good about the place...I headed upstairs (I must admit, my heart felt like it was breaking...I have NEVER left him before.) Anyhow, it really lasted about 7 minutes until the phone rang from downstairs and I was being called...Chase was screaming!! The poor guy was so miserable that I had left him...His face was red, and the tears were huge!!! So I stayed with him while he had his snack with all othe other kids, and then I went with him to the play area, and he was back to himself...playing with trucks, climbing things, haveing fun...So they said I could try and head up stairs again and see how it goes...Well, I had no sooner got up the stairs and sat down, and I heard Chase screaming from downstairs again...and as I was heading out the door, I heard the phone ringing...calling for me again. I stayed down with Chase the rest of the time, andas long as I was there, he couldn't care less what I was doing...The lady at the group (Fiona) said that this second time, Chase had gone from room to room looking for me, and it wasn't until he saw I was nowhere in there that he got so upset!! My poor little guy!!!

New fad???

Yougurt in the hair... Chase thought it looked good on him! (Sorry the picture is blurry, it was dark, and I took it with my phone!)
However, I do have a great story! Yesterday (Feb.9th) after Chase awoke from his nap, he was playing for awhile, and then he went over to his highchair, grabbed it, and signed "eat" to me! I was so impressed! So I said "Are you hungry Chase?" and he walked over to me, put his arms up in the air for me to pick him up and said "Up." Pretty smart kid!!!

Hmmm....

I have to say that there are so many things that Chase has been doing lately, but I am so bad at remembering all of them when I sit down here to write...Shame on me, I know!!!

Last week I took Chase to his first ever play group...(Yes I know this appalls some of you, I apologize for that, but it's not like he NEVER sees other kids!) Anyhow, the newer stuff... Chase says: yellow, E.I.E.I.O, blue, (boo) up, baby, (baba) and the other usual stuff. When you ask him what a train says, he says "doo-doo" (Meaning choo-choo) When you ask him what Kita or a puppy says, he says "woof-woof" and then pants like a dog. He still makes quacking noises when you ask him what a duck says, he also screeches like a monkey when you ask him what they say, he signs "more" when he wants more (to eat usually.) We are working on "please, thank-you, and hola" (for Mexico) He has record speeds for going up the stairs, and is starting to get the hang of coming down, although definatley not to be trusted to try on his own!!! He can also "neigh" like a horse, although not everyone would recognize this, and same with "mooing" like a cow... He still loves the water in all forms, drinking, blowing bubbles, baths & showers.
I think that is all I can remember for now....So until next time....I hope this finds you all well.

P.S. My camera is broken right now, so until I get a new one...it'll just be small updates!!!
