Couch Potato??

Here he is with his name finally decided on...

"CHASE TYRONE COLGUR"

Chase and I~ Home for a week today!

In the last week we have been surprisingly busy. Well...sort of. We had a doctors apt. on Monday and Chase has gained more weight...He is currently 8lbs 2.5oz!! So this little tank is not starving! He is amazing, or so we think...but becoming a parent to this amazing little man has so far been an extrodanary experience. We also had a 2 and a half hour photo shoot. Chase did so well...other than the constant peeing (he won the award for baby who pees the most!!) I am sure one day he will love that I told you all that!
But I forgot to mention, Uncle Bryan was in the area and stopped by on Sunday night to see his new little nephew for an hour or so, and then Chase's Nana & Poppa came for a two day visit as well. Chase sure looks forward to meeting all the rest of his family...and of course we look forward to showing him off!! (Am I allowed to say that?!!?)
Here's a few more pics of the last few days...
Much Love,

Visit from the public health nurse...

~I've taken better pictures...but Chase looks so cute and alert I couldn't resist.~

Well today the public health nurse stopped by to check in on Chase. He has gained 6oz in two days!! He is a machine when he eats, and she said that he is looking pretty solid. So I guess that means we passed the test...Or at least the one this week. Anyhow, here's a few more pics of our little man.

Welcome Home Chase...

We are all home! After a crazy eight or so days in the hospital, 3 and a half days of labour, 4 inductions, and a emergency C-section...That took place on Oct. 14th/06, 11:31am, preformed by Dr. Gueordjev, assisted by Dr. Johannson, we are thrilled to announce Chase is a healthy baby!! Weighing in at a whopping 7lbs 14oz, nearly 20" long, and of course with a full head of hair...
Here are some pictures of Chase's first days of life.

Oct.12th/06

So I really thought that when I posted everything yesterday, that was going to be it until after the baby was born. Apparently this baby is more stubborn than I am!! (We could be in for a bit of trouble.)
Anyhow, I have been induced again...and was on the Non-Stress Test again. Baby's movements are still less than normal, and it looks as though if this induction doesn't do the trick, they will probably put me on the drip. My doctor says waiting much longer would be waiting for complications, that this baby is more than ready. So there you have it...
Take care everyone...

Oct.11th/06 ~ Another Non-Stress Test

Alrighty then...It's a go. The newest test indicated that my contractions have definitely picked up, and they expect that this baby...."The Littlest Colgur" should be born no later than early tomorrow morning. As you can probably tell...(as I am on the computer) I am still dealing well...Still smiling, and looking forward to this next big step...Ian is thrilled!
Take care everyone...Hopefully the next post will include pictures of the wee one.
~Coral, Ian, Kita and of course...Baby.

Oct.11th/06 ~ 2nd Non-Stress Test

Hey everyone,
It's ten minutes to twelve and I just got back from the hospital. I had my second Non-Stress Test, and unfortunatley the baby's movement is still less than it should be, so I have now been induced...The baby should be here tonight or tomorrow if it "takes." I go back to the hospital at 5:00 to be re-checked and see if everything is progressing, but probably won't make it back on here until after we bring the babe home...Can't say for sure...I guess it'll just depend on how I feel or how quick things happen.

Oct.10th/06~Prenatal Apt.

Well hello everyone, sorry to keep you all in suspence. I had a prenatal apt. today, and as always Dr. Johannson checked my blood pressure, but this time it was up...Normal for normal people, but mine is usually very low, and because it had gone up just over 20 points in one week, I found myself at the hospital today for a non-stress test, blood work, and of course the famous peeing in a cup! The baby's activity has lessened a bit, so I had two choices today, one was to induce, and second was to be at the hospital tomorrow morning @ 8:00am for another non-stress test. They also called in the OBGYN and he said no to get too panicked, and that we'll see what happens tomorrow....
I go back in the morning, and I may be induced. If the baby's activity is fine, I may wait. It really all depends on the health of the baby.
So...There it is folks, my scary day at the hospital. I would have wrote sooner, but my computer was acting up and I couldn't get on line. Hope this finds you all well.

Thanksgiving Weekend /06

~Almost 41 Weeks!!!~

Happy Thanksgiving!!
Well here it is Monday Oct.9th...The doctors say that this is my other due date because on the ultrasound the baby measured 4 days smaller...Any new guesses? I am getting a bit fed up...and tired of waiting. I can only imagine how tired Ian must be of me....Poor guy!!
Anyhow, here are a couple pics of the weekend...It was really great to see you Aaron, Amy, & Ratz!
Much love,

Oct.6th/06

*Still @ Home*

I was looking back at the guesses, and for the dates...Let's see who's still in the running...

Ian
Jodi
Tanya
Amy
Cory
Dustin
Maria
Shannon
Aleta
Greg
Fayne
Tamara
Rob

Wow, that's still quite a few guesses out there! I am excited to see who will be the closest..No offence Shannon, but I really hope not you!
Yesterday was a bit of a difficult day, I had been sick the day before yesterday, and then again yesterday. As if one doctors apt. isn't enough for a week, I was back in her office yesterday to make sure the baby was not stressed. She checked the heartbeat, and said that the baby is doing fine. That was a relief. I am more than ready for this baby to come out!! There is just no more room!!
Hope you are all well!

Due Date Day ~Oct.5th/06

Hello everyone!
Here I was going through my pictures, and realized that I really need to start taking some pictures of Ian...I hardly have any of him on here...I must be vain!! (Or the only one who's body has rapidly changed...)
Anyhow, today is going fine. Of course my hands are very swollen, but I think it's something I am starting to get used to. I slept sitting up last night, and it was pretty good. Maybe I should have tried that sooner.
Thanksgiving weekend is coming up and Ian has the whole weekend off, in fact Friday is his last day! He gets a lay-off. Ratz is coming for the holiday, and so is Amy & Aaron! Should be a good time. Can't wait to see you all!
Much love,
~Coral
P.S.
Here, now I have added some more pics of Ian...

Some more pics over the years....

Still trying to pass the time...

Getting anxious...

Here it is, Oct.4th/06! Tomorrow is my actual due date, and for all of those who don't know...guess what? Oct.5th is the most common birthday in the United States! Rob passed along that info to me! Pretty neat...
I guess I am feeling a bit anxious, but mostly tired. I can't believe how much our bodies distort from their original forms to house this precious cargo...It'll all be over soon, and there will be a new life in the picture, I still can't fully grasp that idea.
I had a talk with my mom last night and she said she remembered that after we were born (as little as a week later) she couldn't possibly remember what life was like before we came into the world...Of course there are shreds of memories, but day to day has changed so much...Hmm...

Oct.2nd/06~Prenatal & "Uncle" Chad's Birthday!!

First... "Happy 35th Birthday Chad" although I know you would rather be spending your birthday other ways than having surgery!! But once your gallbladder is out, no more pain!! We are all thinking about you!

And Second...Today's prenatal apt. went well. I told my doctor about the contractions I was having on Thursday, and she said that is great! She told me she still thinks it's a girl, and my blood pressure was still fantastic! (102/74) I had thought all this time that she was gone for Thanksgiving, but it's actually the weekend after that she'll be gone, so that is good!! I have another prenatal apt. booked for next Tuesday, but she thinks I won't need it...She thinks the baby will be here by the end of the weekend! Here's to hoping!!
~Coral
P.S. Against my better judgement...here is a pic @ a couple days shy of 40 weeks...No Stretch Marks, just my little scar from having my gallbladder out.
