Oh what a day...

It's finally here. Today is the day Shane starts his journey home...It's been so long since we have all seen you...We miss you tons!! Take care....Can't wait to see you...

Ian's ankle on day 3...

Still waiting for the swelling to go down. Ian is getting a permanent cast tomorrow (Monday) As you can see it looks as though Ian has quite the club foot! In the picture that shows his toes, half of his baby toe is covered by the temp cast...making it look totally creepy...lol.

Chase's first word...

Lately (with Ian being home) Ian has been teaching Chase to say "Mama." And of course Chase trys so hard repeat...He has been doing really good too! This morning I go in to get him after a nice long sleep, and he starts saying "Mama mama mama!" SOOOO cute. I am sure he probably doesn't really get that I am "mama" but it still is really cool that he is saying it!! Right now Ian is sitting with him, working on "Dada." This whole "parent thing"....it's pretty cool!

So...I got a phone call from Ian today. He called me from the

hospital to let me know he had fallen off a ladder at work.

How big was this ladder you ask...oh, it was 20 feet high! Ian is lucky that all he broke was his ankle...Although he'll now be in a cast for 6-8 weeks! He'll get a real cast when the swelling goes down.

Congatulations Dustin & Maria!

Congratulations to the both of you on the birth of your new baby boy! After a pretty frightening last month or so, Maria gave birth to a healthy baby boy. He came 6 weeks early and weighed in at 6lbs, 8oz! He was born April 20th, 2007 @ 6:12am.

Can't wait to meet him, and post some pictures!

So...How did the trip to the public health nurse go??

It went really good! They changed it a bit. Instead of getting three needles this time, he got two. And then for the twelve month shots, he'll get FOUR instead of three! So that part will suck, but today went really well! Chase didn't even wince let alone cry! In fact right after it was all done, he gave the nurse a big smile!! Go figure!
Anyhow, today is the 11th of April, and Chase will be 6 months old on Saturday! Today he weighed in at 19lbs 5oz!! That is almost three pounds in the last two months! Wow, good job Chase!
Another exciting thing...Chase has learned how to drink from a sippy cup! Lately, when I have a drink Chase will reach for the cup, so I thought this must be his way of telling me he's ready to try...And what do you know? His first try he got it! He's so smart...The other thing with Chase is, he's not at all intrested in crawling, but he loves to walk, and can hold on to the coffee table and hold him self up for about 30 seconds or so! Growing up WAY to fast!!

Public Health Nurse Today....

It's that time again...Time for Chase's 6 month shots today...And of course Ian is working so I get the joy of taking Chase and being the brute again! Here is a picture of him this morning...When everything is right in his world...Although he doesn't look super thrilled (could it be that it wasn't quite 7:00am, and the camera was already out??!) But I love his cheeks in this picture!
