Happy Halloween!!!!!

I know it's Chase's second Halloween, and not his first, but last year he was only two weeks old and I wasn't able to find a costume for him that was small enough...so this year is a bit more exciting for us....I will post the pictures later so you can see him out and about!!

They're not.....

How cute is this? Yesterday I can't remember exactly what it was that Chase had dropped, and I said to him "Oops-a-daisy" (Which made me giggle when I thought of "Notting Hill") Anyhow, there I had said it, and Chase looks at me and says "Oh, day-day"

So now, when he drops something he either says "Uh-uh" or "Oh, day-day" It is so cute...So remember everyone, watch what you say because you could have some explaining to do.... ;)

The birthday party pics...

We all had a nice time, and Chase really enjoyed Harlan & Mattaya's company...(Or so he seemed to...He never actually told me that...) Here are some pictures. Unfortunatley Ian ended up working 15 hours that day and missed the party all together...

1 Year Doc's Apt.

Well Chase's doctor is away until the middle of next month, so we got him in to see Dr. Woodward. (He's a nice doctor too.) Anyhow, Chase isn't as big as we thought, (or he lost 1/2 a pound) he is weighing in @ 24.5lbs, and 79cm tall! He is in good health, and doctor Woodward mentioned how mellow he was....MELLOW??? This is a baby...sorry, toddler that goes and goes!! But he said how content he seemed to be. Chase was quite curious about all the exciting doctors' "tools." Also, Chase has cut his fifth tooth & the little comedian loves to say "uh-oh" but the funny thing about that is this, the other day he was in his crib, while I was getting dressed, and I heard him say "uh-oh" so I walk to his room to see what was "uh-oh" and I just caught sight of him throwing something out of his crib!!! Crazy clown!!!

Happy 1st Birthday Chase!!! ~ We love you!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU, HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU....HAPPY BIRTHDAY DEAR CHASE...HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU!!!! ;)

I can hardly believe that Chase has ALREADY turned one today!! I guess it's bitter sweet... They grow up so fast, and as excited as you are to see them grow up and experience all these new cool things, you sorta miss the baby that loved to snuggle in to your neck! (Or at least I do...) Well, we left Cranbrook and drove home. We wanted to get here early so we could make a cake and blah, blah, blah....We decided to go for walk before dinner. Ian, Chase, and I (with Kita) went and picked up Sadie & her dog Oso. We went for a little walk up at the college, and because Chase wanted to walk (instead of stroll) we let him out. However, the dogs were playing hard and got carried away...they ran right into him knocking him down (on the grass) so hard that he sorta bounced. Ian ran for him, and we all headed up to the truck immediately...Chase was bleeding pretty bad from the mouth... (makes me sick thinking about it.) Anyhow, a trip to the E.R. and checked out by the doctor up there. He had split his gum above his two top teeth....Not the way a birthday boy should celebrate....I made him a cake when we got home...and although it was NOTHING special...I think it made him feel a bit better!!

BOYS?!?!?!?

Brilliant.... he is brilliant!!!

I know, I know, it has been forever since I posted anything, and now I am going crazy with posts...Oh well. Anyhow...Today Chase is sitting in the highchair and (I have been trying to get him to wave goodbye for awhile now) I say to him again "bye-bye" and he flapped his little arm and perfectly said "bye-bye." (My mom & I were both shocked at how clear it came out!) I know it was a fluke that it came out so clear that time, but it was so sweet! And now he likes to wave at people! Awww....

P.S. Kita has been acting a little "snotty" with Chase the last few days, so to be on the safe side we have been keeping them seperate, here is a picture of Kita, on the stairs, on the other side of the baby gate...silly girl!

Funny story of a paranoid mom!

So yesterday, (Thursday) my parents, Chase, and I were sitting down to eat dinner. About half way through dinner Chase's eyes started rolling back, and his head was swaying from side to side in his high chair...Well, I looked at my mom and totally panicked...I thought he was seizing or something...As it turns out, he was just tired and falling asleep! In my defense, Chase has never fallen asleep in his chair before, and I had given him something new (food wise) so I overreacted! Pretty funny now...

P.S. In the picture above, you can see how the fire place mantel has pink & yellow on it, well for any of you needing a good way to "childproof" my aunt suggested a pool noodle, and it works great! My parents living room doesn't look as tidy as it usually does, but I guess that's what kids do to your house!! ;)

Chase is almost one year!!! But until then...

Believe it or not, this was the very first time Karen met Chase! We were doing some thinking, and the last time I saw Karen was on Sam Steele weekend (June.06) Yikes! I missed you Kare!That was well over a year ago! Also, a picture of Chase & Tanner (they match) and Chase & Emily palying in the park yesterday! ~Coral
